Florence K. Murray was Rhode Island's first female judge. She spent four decades on the bench - first on the state Superior Court, and later as a justice on the Rhode Island Supreme Court. A remarkable woman who led a life of great accomplishment, Murray died in 2004.
This portrait of Florence Murray was included in our portrait exhibit at T.F. Green Airport's East Concourse Gallery in 1990. Following that, this portrait of Murray was on display for an extended time at the Newport County Court House, which has since been named after her.
Measuring 20" x 25½", this portrait was created in charcoal and pastel on acid-free paper by Bonnie Lee Turner. It is absolutely one of a kind! Price: $1500.
