New England Patriots Logo Mural, 81″ x 81″, 2016
Man Cave, Private Residence, Dedham, Massachusetts
by Charles C. Clear III and Bonnie Lee Turner
This New England Patriots Logo Mural was painted for a wicked big Pats fan in Dedham, Massachusetts! He wanted a mural of the old Patriots logo for the entrance to his Man Cave. The classic old Pats logo features a Revolutionary War minuteman hiking a football. It was designed by Boston Globe cartoonist Phil Bissel back in the 1960 season, and was the Patriot’s official logo from 1961 to 1992.
The entryway to the Pats fan’s Man Cave is fairly narrow – only about ten or twelve feet wide – which is why the picture that you see here had to be taken at an angle. The homeowner wanted the mural to be big, so we painted the Patriots Logo as large as we could in the desired space. The logo measures just under seven feet from the top of the hat to the shadow of the ball, and it’s about seven feet in width from the shadows on each side of his feet. You can get a sense of just how big it is by comparing it to the size of the door in the picture. When people enter for the first time, it’s the first thing they see, and the first thing they say is “WOW!”
This Patriots Logo mural is the second time that we painted a Patriots themed mural. Back in 2007, we painted an action packed Football Mural featuring The New England Patriots vs The Chicago Bears in Superbowl XX!
Any great moment in sports or team logo can be painted as big as you like in a life size or larger-than-life hand painted mural. Contact us today to commission your Mural!
