Taylor Point in Jamestown is one of Rhode Island’s many hidden gems. It’s a promontory north of Potters Cove and it’s nestled right below the Newport Bridge. The rocky outcropping offers spectacular views of the Bridge, the Bay, Coasters Harbor Island, and the Naval War College in Newport. To reach the overlook, first you must travel a narrow shady path that weaves through a tangle of overgrown trees, vines, and brush. Your anticipation builds as you draw closer, and soon the leaves part, and the sight of sailboats on the sunlit Bay beckons.

My inspiration for this Painting is to capture that moment – that anticipation – when you know that Beauty is just moments away.

This original painting of Taylor Point Jamestown Rhode Island is available, as are Fine Art Prints and Poster Art Reproductions. Contact me for more information, and to discuss your specific needs.

Also: Be sure to see my painting of Beavertail State Park, which was also inspired by the beauty of Jamestown.
